Apparently there might actually be a PS4 version; however, according to IGN, “We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”

cus it’s an easy profit game that will return multiple times more than it cost to make. It’s really just a few tweaks to the GT5 engine with some more cars and tracks.
It would be a horrible PS4 launch title as it wouldn’t do much to promote the new console.

In reply to GaryASwaby. I agree 100000%. Because of it launching on the PS3, a whole community of gamers will not be buying the PS4, I'd be willing to bet. They'll just keep their PS3 because their game, GT, will be on PS3. Should have at least been on both like Destiny, AC4 and several other games are doing. Bad move, Sony.

I really wish I knew what Sony was thinking with this man. This should really be a PS4 launch title, even if it is just a port. But I guess porting a ready made PS3 game to PS4 is difficult and expensive.

Gran Turismo would have made a perfect launch title imo.
