I think the problem is that people have only seen this game running on next gen consoles and PCs up until now. Therefore, Ubisoft already set a level of expectations in everyone’s mind beforehand. I think for them to release this video and then only confirm later on after they received criticism that the footage was from the current gen version of the game was a pretty silly move on their part. Of course, the majority of consumers will most likely buy the game on Xbox One, PC, or PS4 so in the end none of this probably won’t matter anyway.

The graphics look perfectly fine for a current gen sandbox title. It looks a lot like GTA V in fact, so I think the expectations were misplaced.
