In and of themselves, no, they are not lackluster. They are quite good, actually. But it’s not a question of just whether or not the games by themselves are good or not. The question is whether or not you should spend over half a thousand dollars to play these games, most of which can be played today on another system most people already own.

THAT is the lackluster part to me, there are few reasons to upgrade, in my opinion, as it stands today. I’ll be getting a PS4 for inFAMOUS and will go back and play games like Killzone, but for me personally, the system is not a must buy yet.

That being said, I am very excited to see the great results so far and it will surely only get better as time goes on.

So obviously , you think the games in question are ” lackluster ” I respect every mans opinion, but if you think these titles are ” lackluster ” i’d love to know what games you play/have that aren’t ” lackluster “? It looks to be Infamous and TitianFall are your type games that aren’t ” lackluster “

Like you said, BF4, CODG, 2K14 and ACBF are all on current gen, as well as PC (minus 2K14), and Warframe and Blacklight have been on PC for a long time. That leaves Knack (overall, very disappointing) and Killzone (great game to most, but also fairly standard by shooter standards). That’s my analysis of the launch titles personally, but they are far from the only reasons I haven’t picked up a PS4 yet.

” lackluster launch games ” REALLY?! BF4, CODG, KZSF, RESOGUN, WARFRAME, BLACKLIGHT, ACBF, KNACK, 2K14, etc…. are ALL ” lackluster ” SMFH……..BF4, CODG, 2K14 and ACBF are ALL available on last gen consoles, but they do not play the same. 1080P and 60 frames per second makes a huge difference……and trust me ask Swiff…….i have tons of games so i knowfirst hand! I just hate when people blame the consoles launch library for not getting a console……so lame! But PS4 is looking really good and i’m glad it’s selling…..
