I think it's really difficult to sell or market to people the potential of Nintendo hardware, both 3DS and WiiU, through an hour long power point slide presentation. At first I was hesitant to buy a 3DS because I just didn't care for 3D, or 3D movie craze for that matter, which was the influence for the hand held hardware. I completely changed my mind when I walked into a game store and tried it out for myself and was really amazed by the 3D and all it took was getting the device in my hands. A similar occurrance of skepticism took place with WiiU and the gamepad, but after trying it out and being able to play games off TV on the gamepad was really enjoyable. I can watch TV while playing Mario on the gamepad seemlessly. Or I can play Monster Hunter on the gamepad without a TV. I have since migrated towards portable gaming, or short bursts of game time and the WiiU fits that perfectly, fitting somewhere in between. I think giving the hardware and new software lineup directly to journalists is the best way to market or sell the system.
