I was really hoping Platinum Games or Crytek would snatch up the Darksiders IP… bummer. Oh well, I look forward to seeing what Nordic Games can do with the franchise, Painkiller was pretty fun and the art direction seems a little similar to Darksiders.

In reply to allenphelix. Great points across the board, but fact of the matter is that a lot of people are unfamiliar with them, especially console gamers. You're right about them formerly being known as JoWood and in fact, that URL (www.jowood.com) will take you to the current Nordic Games page!

Holy snappers! I am so excited by this news. Im so glad that a big publisher such as square enix didn’t get any of these IP’s. Anybody who considers themselves a knowledgeable gamer should not be asking who Nordic Games are. Not only do they make well praised PC series such as Painkiller and Spellforce but they have also produced some fantastic Wii titles. They actually used to be named JoWood Entertainment FYI.

Why the hell did Homeworld have to go to Gearbox?! I know for sure they’ll royally screw it up!
