Who wrote this?! This guy obviously knows nothing about Gears! He wants to get rid of the things that make Gears, GEARS. Complaining about the gnasher? Obviously this guy didn’t know how to wall bounce or even play mp (retro/sawed off user) Also Gears has had 4 Player co-op (face palm)

In reply to Sirteejay. I love Gears 3 MP but the gnasher is WAAAAY too overpowered. A shotgun is, at it's core, a CQB weapon but in Gears it has an absolutely STUPID range. Something else that NEVER needs to return is active reload. Judgement at least got that right.

In reply to VBM. Ah, ok. I gotcha. I been playing Titanfall on XB1 nonstop without sleep for a few days now, so my mind is pretty clouded. Not sure what his deal is with the story. Gears 1 was pretty light on story, but Gears 2 got a lot deeper with Dom's wife, then Gears 3 nailed it with a terrific story. Not just Dom's sacrifice, but how Marcus laid into the Locust Queen with that knife in the end. Then again, Gears 3 was written by Karen Traviss... who also wrote the books. I rather liked Judgment's story too, even though the multiplayer was 10 steps back from Gears 3.

In reply to Pradius. I was agreeing that the author isn't a "real Gears fan" seeing as he's asking for a more immersing story and not understanding it's deeper than the games. GoW is an action game at heart and most ppl played to use a chainsaw-gun!

The run and duck behind cover is what made gears of war. Your multiplayer changes sound like gears judgment which was complete garbage. Changing the game is what ruined it. Go play call of duty.

Author, you are obviously not a real Gears fan and I hope Black Tusk does NONE of the multiplayer stuff you mentioned here. Multiplayer has always been the best part of Gears and Black Tusk shouldn’t change that just because you sucked at it.

Anyone who says you should use rifles as your primary attack should go back to call of duty, anyone who played GOW1 and GOW2 would know that most people who use a gnasher. I liked the fluidity of gow3 but the lancers and sawn-off shotguns are stupid and overpowered, that’s why the game didnt last very long on multiplayer. They made this franchise into a call of duty 2.0. which sucks.

Yes! Multiplayer needs improvement Gears 3 was fun but there are too many people running around with retro lancers and gnashers. That is not what gears of war is, I don’t need or want a Call of Duty with chainsaw capabilities. Those are all awesome ideas great stuff! No matter what people say the guns need to be nerfed and I hope Black Tusk will pay attention to weapon balancing and other core elements of Gears of War Multiplayer. I’m sick of people getting too many kills alone (Way, way too many) even though teamwork, a big game mechanic is supposed to be involved in the game. The Gears Community has to go back to it’s roots or go home because this is not COD. Great article though hope it makes a nice dent.

The reason your complaining about multiplayer is probly beacuse your not good at it. Anyone who gets on it frist time will thing the shotgun is op … u have put in alot of time in it before you can understand the gameplay , and if u watch competive matchs you will see alot more rifle play then shotgun

This guy said he doesn’t find multiplayer all that fun…any body who even agrees with your whole blog is pathetic..you are pathetic..you are a random..Multiplayer made the game..once you beat campaign and play “hoard” or “beast mode” the only action that is fun is multiplayer because it is the ONLY Thing to technically do .. You guys just suck ass study MLG. Learn from it
