We need the croft manor back we miss it since anniversary. We need more action scenes, something intense. The game have to be harder and the puzzles harder to solve. The character development is good but we still need to know more about how lara became like the one we know. Harder and many bosses will add a different taste to the game remember TR chronicles. More tomb and maybe some vehicules. Maybe some changes in the environments when advancing in the story maybe some visits to a city as a flash back just to change the dead deserted ambience of the island. Lara have to swim we can't take that away from her xD we need mire climbing and jumping. I guess the next TR will be perfect !

The game is ok, i only found annoying that once you buy a weapon upgrade, there's no way back to the original weapon. The piolet upgrade was fine (because it is a gameplay core mechanic), but for example, i didn't like that olympic bow, it was out of place. One feature that i really missed was the possibility to replay individual chapters. There are thrilling scenes that happen just once (airplane crash, parachute fall and so on), and if you wanna replay them you have to start a new game all over again. All in all, i think crystal dynamics did a great job but the sequel can be way better.

First of all - water! This great and brand new Lara Croft can't swim at all, and we all remember what good swimmer she was - including underwater passages. This could add more adrenaline in action, and more exploring options in tombs. Second - swinging and jumping from/to ropes, hooks/harpoon, etc. Third - maybe use of cars, bikes, horses, elephants, etc, stuff to drive/ride. And last, but not least - better, smooter obstacles handling (auto climbing), while walking, jumping and rolling on rough terrain - after all, it is the pleasure of "driving" this athletic Lara's body what makes great deal of fun in the game series....

I'd like to see Tomb Raider 2 take Lara across all sorts of environments rather than one big island. I understand the necessity of this in the Reboot, but now that that's over I want to see her explore ruins and tombs all over the world.

I want to go back to explore the cliffs of Bolivia, the tombs in Egypt, the jungles of India, ruins in Nepal, and temples in Ghana and Thailand. I want that Indiana Jones sort of adventure where you have to get through booby-traps and the wild wilderness in order to find all sorts of hidden keys and maps that lead to amazing treasures. And I want to go back to Lara's mansion. That definitely needs to be brought back in the next installment!

I agree on all accounts. I also feel the game should strive to be longer as well. It was too short. I breezed through it in less than a day. It wasn't challenging like the others. I wanted a longer game with a much better story. They tried to make it dark and edgy but the original six games did that. I think they need to take Lara back to basics in the sequel. Combine the original six's elements into new Lara and don't make the game so short! 10 hours for tomb raider when most other games now run the average gamer 14-20 hours to complete? It was silly. I love the entire franchise and I love the new one! Also Lara is now a hardened survivor. She needs muscle in her shoulder. Women who are as athletic as Lara have broader shoulders. The tiny shoulders on Lara bug me. They are off in proportion to her own body. Even he voice actress has wider shoulders than Lara in game!!! Now that we have next gen out it's be nice if she looked exactly like she did in the trailer and opening sequence! She's Lara croft! She should be built and strong! She's a 21 year old woman not a 12 year old girl.

While the multi player was disappointing. I do not think that it necessary to exlude it from the next game. There is room for improvement and a different direction. Maybe allow the people who completed the game to act as bad guys in the main game. They could re spawn in various locations and be more of a formidable and challenging foe. Also allow a watch friends mode. Or some ghosting once complete. Mario kart managed. For Lara's sake. Lets try a bit of innovation.

Not sure about the 'stronger cast' one. I would like for them to try to recreate that same atmosphere in the older games with that sense of isolation, and the tension based on the feeling of potentially being trapped in the vast tombs at any moment. That's what's always been the biggest draw for me as a Tomb Raider fan, particularly the original series, and was missing from the reboot. An Uncharted-style story with lots of dialogue could take away from that.

I agree with Chamberlain. Any time someone says "if you don't like it don't play it" I direct them to games like Spec Ops: The Line. That game is criminally underrated and received lower reviews than it deserved because the multiplayer took away from the overall package. In fact, it infected the development studio itself. They had an interview with Polygon posted on VG 24/7 that makes for a very good read about the whole process and how it can ruin games -
http://www.vg247.com/2012/08/29/spec-ops-the-lines-multiplayer-is-a-cancerous-growth-says-yager-staffer/

Especially in regards to Tomb Raider - it was supposed to be a game about a girl overcoming her weaknesses and finding a way to survive, against all odds. The multiplayer was just a band of random people shooting at each other for sport with shallow game modes and weak mechanics. To me, it hurt the overall package.

I agree with everything you said Rich...except for the multiplayer part. I actually enjoyed

playing the multiplayer mode, it gave me something to do during
the post-game (another point I probably would have mentioned – the lack of
postgame definitely disappointed me). Granted, when I bought the game, it was
solely for the single player experience and having the multiplayer included in
the game never once took that away from me. The single player was fantastic and
I enjoyed every second of it. The fact that the MP is included in the game
isn’t a bad thing, especially considering it’s quite a decent online
experience, but the fact does remain, if you bought Tomb Raider, you bought it
for the single player, not the MP.

If you didn’t want to play the MP, you don’t
have to; the core of the game is still there and to me, the MP is merely
additional content to keep the interest around. In fact, I commend Square Enix
and Crystal Dynamics for introducing this. I’m not a huge fan of trading in my
games, I like to keep them, more for nostalgic purposes, but I really don’t
like having games that can sit on my shelf collecting dust, knowing that
there’s no replayability unless I go through the campaign again.

Everything else you
said, I agree with 100%, but the multiplayer in Tomb Raider has never once
taken away from the single player experience, and for that, I don’t think
removing this from the next instalment will be of any benefit.

playing the multiplayer mode, it gave me something to do during
the post-game (another point I probably would have mentioned – the lack of
postgame definitely disappointed me).
