Having played Destiny, this game is OFFICIAL. Advanced Warfare has a lot to live up to. Destiny smashes everything out right now – even CoD Ghosts (that may be an understatement, I know). Titanfall can’t compare. Destiny just broke a new sales record as well. If you sleep on this game, that’s your fault. Great write-up!

And what conclusion as Titanfall? That it will make a shitload of money? I’m sure Activision and Bungie would love that.

Nevertheless, "grab aspects from different games and stick them together" is some pretty vague horsecrap that can describe a huge percentage of titles. And what is this "true side" you speak? Yeah, a rip-off. They say they’re new and innovative… No they just grab aspects from different games and stick them together. Go ahead and throw them all your money. The true side is already starting to show with the game and it hasn’t even been 24 hours. As long as everyone pre-orders this garbage, it will always be shit because they’ll have no reason to make it worth the money since they’re already paid.

it won’t…I was out after I realized there was literally very little
story…I’m not interested in a multiplayer only fragfest, much the way I
wasn’t interested in Titanfall…and this game really dropped the ball
for me as it is also a last gen game, available on 360 and ps3. Last
gen compromises confirmed, hence the scarcity of locations and the very
quickly stale dispatch ghost protect area from baddies rinse and repeat
gameplay..no thanks, I’ll pass.

Tony, you’ve come a long way from someone who was like “fuck FPS” to anticipating a game like Destiny. It brings a tear to my eye, lol. But I agree that MMO aspects will start to be seen in a lot more games. The Crew is doing it. And The Division which looked really good is doing it. The loot systems in games are always a great dangling carrot. If you haven’t played Diablo 3 then I recommend it, since it does a good job of making you say “just a little more” and before you know it, hours have gone by.

You say a “loot system” is new to consoles and only in PC MMOs? What about TES or Borderlands? As I see it, this game is nothing but a rip-off of Borderlands and Halo. Yeah, Halo is their previous money maker, but did they really have to make them almost identical as far as mechanics and feel? Borderlands doesn’t have flashy graphics so it gets pushed aside and forgotten apparently even though every other aspect of this game is like it. I bought a PS4 at release and have yet to see a decent game…

I didn’t like the beta but loved the alpha. Although that caused me to cancel my pre-order a few days ago. I plan to pay my cousins copy at a later date.
Just seemed to drag a lot through nerd valley for my taste.
