In reply to richardbailey. For $2 Billion Microsoft could have purchased the entire Capcom, acquired big studios like Insomniac, Remedy, Respawn Entertainment, and Platinum Games into their first party line up or even get exclusivity rights for a big franchise like GTA6.

This news definitely angers me because that money could have gone towards creating new studios and games for the platform. Sure Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider will make Microsoft a ton of money next year, but where is the drive and determination to try something new? Bad move at that price overall in my opinion.

Paying that much for Minecraft is kinda crazy! I know the game is very popular, especially towards the youth, but why that much? After Microsoft took major losses for their game launch in Japan and then having problems with the Xbox One in Europe, this seems like a attempt to bring themselves back from a huge loss! Let’s see if it works?!
