Thanks for your comment Luke. You are absolutely right about how AMC approaches the show. On the surface, the show itself isn't bad but they do hold back from doing certain things like killing off key characters. Telltale does the exact opposite by doing whatever is necessary no matter how brutal to move the story along. Perhaps the TV show will take more risks this season but I wouldn't hold my breath about that yet lol.

Thanks for your comment James and i'm glad you agree. Those Lee references you mentioned are easily some of the most powerful moments from season two. Even though Lee is gone, Telltale makes sure to let you know that his spirit and lessons live on in Clementine. This is just one of the many reasons why I prefer the game over the TV show.

I agree with you. The video game is better than the TV show. I just recently played the game about a month ago and I've been watching the TV show since the end of season 1. It's been about 4 seasons now in the TV show and it's been very great and emotional at times, but after playing both seasons of the game, I know without a doubt that the game was better. I think they did a good job at kind of trolling us making us think that Lee would be the main protagonist. It's also really awesome that through out Clementine's story in season 2, she constantly quotes Lee. So even though Lee was only the protagonist of season 1, he will always be in our hearts and I feel like Clementine will always quote him. The choices you make on the game are incredible and make you have to think fast because you're timed. The good thing is that there is no technically wrong choice kind of like in real life. There are some things that just doesn't have a right answer.

I agree entirely. AMC really pulls it's punches on a number of moments that were hard hitting in the comics. I don't think it will ever be as visceral, gripping and strong as it could be. The emotional moments and death are almost strategically placed in a season for twitter and fb buzz. They haven't been as meaningful since midway through season 3. The telltale game kicks me right in the feels every chapter. It's tough.
