-Kefka - do i really need to give you a reason, i mean this guy nailed it, the perfect sadistic pysco and this guy well he was basically FF best villain up to that point. I mean you already mentioned pretty much all i can say about him, he plays the joker and he plays it well, infact i think his peromance was even better then the jokers. So Kudos to Kefka my number 1
- Sephiroth- well again do i really need to give you an explanation, i mean just play the dam game, this dude is badass and its pretty much self explanatory in the story as you will see all his hatred that you could feel for on a human level, all the anger, confusion, sadness, and frustration all in which brings a normal man in fact considered "hero" down a path of twisted revenge against the ones responsible for these terrible acts that Sephiroth had suffered, this was Shinra inc, and mainly Hojo, but soon enough when he reached the point of insanity where his revenge then becomes him against the entire planet, so decides to hibernate within the planet as for means to regenerate himself back to life as a God, by summoning meteor, thus annihilating planet aGaia
- Seymour- wow i dont exactly what to say ... well i really loved Seymour the moment i met him in my first play, i knew he was bad news, he always had this oddness and creepy way about the way he acts and the things he does, and especially the things he says (voices for the first time and Seymours was tops)
being that FF10 was my first, i may be Bias but i really dont think i am , FF10 is not my fav final fantasy either, just from his creepy theme music, which seems to resonate off of Kuja from FF9, the fact is even through Seymours voice he see as he acts affabble and playfu but in the end only to torchure your brains, and he will make sure of it too! I mean he will confront you in battle 4 TIMES, and in general i mean wow the number is high could be over 10, he will be in your way every step of the way, my personal take on what villain/s Seymour is supposed to be based off of is definitely Kuja and a bit of Kefka up there in the head, i would say that honestely Seymour and Kefka share a lot in common, the biggest thing of all of them though is death, Seymours goal is to become sin and bring destruction and death to Spira,"To save Spira.... " so says the sociopathich Seymour. Assuming after he destroys Spira, he (now sin) will soon perish as well. oi have to give the third place to the nutty fucker over here, i mean he must be the only villian i have yet to meet that has ever been as crazy and ruthless as Kefka.
- Vayne- Wow Vayne is amazing villain who is quite the opposites of the kefkas and seymours, Vayne was as sly as a fox , and strikes like snake, cold- hearted ans distant from birth, his father had made him do atrocious things to his own family... the worse thing a man could do.... murder. Since then his father grew up and Vayne grew to be the young emotionless man with a fake facade over the people through his charms and charisma, though behind the scene of the public, his story continues to grow deeper and deeper, see his smart, manipulating ways to over come the many hurdles to be reigned back in by the Senate. Instead shows how heartless this man is by killing his own farther poisoning the senate, and usurping the thrown becoming the De Facto ruler over Archadia. As from a man who has been 3 steps ahead of each obstacle, watching him send his Judge Magisters after us, just shows to me that he looks at you as way to insignificant to be toyed with personally so he sends his many judges/soldiers to come for you, out for blood. So yes Vayne was not the villain who was encountered by the allies, in fact you only have one mere interaction with him and that is when he stares down at the party while being incarcerated in the sewers. But as i said he had a great story that unfolded during all the camera time they gave Vayne. What makes him my top 4, the personality smart, cold hearted, charismatic, charm, manipulative, sneaky, gets what he wants and will do anything or rather make others do anything for him to obtain it, he says very little, but what he says will resonate. The fact that he is portrays a man who resonates no emotion and speaks very little, and the little he does speak are pure words thrown at people for a mere ruse. I loved how even with emotionally he cares for nothing but to become the ruler over mankind, he did have a loving bond to his close little brother Larsa, showing the human side to him, but even Larsa sees the snake in him, as its all a game of manipulation to Vayne. Vayne is top 4 for being a cold hearted murderer, who can manipulate an entire city to cheer for him, even after just a few weeks after he had his army kill there king at the treaty signing, that two was another ruse or rather scheme he put together. Smart and Manipulative.
- Dr. Cidolfus- I really need to say off the record that who woudnt say the first and only antagonist Cid, wouldnt make my list, hell yea, in fact he may be one of my favorite Cids, 13s Cid is not evil if you know the story so, yea the only one true Cid to be made antagonist and a pretty big one aswell, he was second main antagonist of FF12 first being Vayne, Venate well 0 , but just how crazy and whacky Cid was, i loved it, he was scholar filled with knoledge and also the one responcibe for so much of the power Vayne obtained is all thanks to the doings of this man, he was the true villain, without him Vayne surely would have failed but they worked togethor, so as i said Vayne and Cidolfus were the 2 main antagonists. When it gets down to it, he also has a back story with his son, similar to the story of Tidus and Jecht. With all this in mind, makes a great villain, colorful personality, a doctor and scholar, teaches man how to manufact a god like power called nethecite, alas the deep back story with his son (deeper than probably most any other Cid), Cidolfus is def on this list
- Seifer- hey FF8 wasnt exactly my cup of tea but Seifer has always come second to badass with Sephiroth being first, i just love opening scene where Squall and Seifer have the face off, and Seifer shreds Squall forehead , and knocks him out. The rivalry that Squall and Seifer had was pretty dam cool, each had a scare, after Squall gert him back for, but once Ultimecia grabs a hold of Edea, she takes control over Seifer and the friendly school rivlry sorta ended, but it always gave us a good reason to hate his guts, but in the end you know he truley was never a bad guy, but bet your ass him and squall were in constant competition.
- Golbez- Golbez hit my list when i thought about garland then soon realized that Golbez is well practicly the same guy, infact most of FF4s roots came from FF1, with introducing a new battle system (ATB) and actually giving a colorful cast of an array of different jobs and such, Garland had 4 Elemental Fiends helping hiim transform into a force known as Chaos being pursuid by the warriors of light. Golbez had 4 Elemenal archfiends that had them collect crystals to summon a giant babil from the moon, whome is also being followed by the warrior of light, but i suppose most of the merit goes to Zemus, alas Golbez was the most manipulative villain i have yet to see, ruthless beyond content and was gruff and stern, heartless, liar, Golbez/Zemus is just the refined Garland/Chaos and Golbez is like the Darth Vader of Final Fantasy.
- Kuja - ahh, the great and fabulous mister Kuja, to start things off, you dont even find out about this guy till the end of the first disc, But find out soon enough that he has been up to know good, brainwashing the Queen, supplying Alexandria with weapons, and dancing around talking in riddles, all while Lindblum is blown to bits, hes laughing and thinking of more poetry to come up with. Def the first of this kind of Arch type to be seen yet in FF, since Kuja had a slight feminist side to him along with being cocky and arrogant and constantly says passive aggressive riddles too to you. Kuja has a pathetic ending of an existence after finding out the truth about himself. I believe Seymour Nails what Kuja portrayed, but then again kuja was 9 and then 10 was Seymour which was able to produce voice acting for the first time, graphics went up tremendously, regardless if Seymour was better at what Kuja did, Kuja still is unforgettable and will always be remembered.
- The Emperor (Mateus) - Everybody forgets how cool the Emperor was from FF2, i mean he was a HUGE step up from Garland actually had a back story and was given a personality fit for an antagonist, and imo is the cruelest of most other villains, i mean even when the emperor is dead, he goes to hell , we find out , hes back and killed the devil , emerging from the depths of hell , he looks down at you and tells you "This world can have but one Emperor! And I am he!!!"
Mateus which is his name , being so full of himself as ruler of Palamecia, he is all of arrogance and intelligence , and yes is also a very good manipulator, and to me Mateus was the first villain to have a back story and was actually a force to be reckoned with. So for being the first personalized antagonist he deserves a spot on my list, The Emperor!
- Yaag Rosch- Okay quickly il start by saying no 13 was not my fav, but it was still def underrated, i mean the story was solid, unique, good character development i mean the first half of the game you need to learn about each and every character same concept as 6, so there is a lot of character depth, what 13 fell short on was exploration and a good antagonist, and i would certainly agree, but just the main antagonist imo, Rosch was to say the least a great antagonist that fought only to protect the people of Cocoon, blinded by what was really happening the entire time, he would encounter us and as leader of the Psicom Division he had numbers of countless attacks placed out on us by squads, even personally tried to put an end to us using the proudclad, but never stops searching, determined all in the thought that he was helping the people, just doing his job, because he thought you were the enemy , he comes back after you in full vengence from his multiple failed attempts, at the city of Eden where he begins another big operation even bigger than the first he had in PalumPolum, in which you encounter him 2 times, after awhile attacking you again in a broken down Proudclad, he finds out the truth about everything, falls out of the proudclad all beaten , blood running down his forehead, looking into lightnings eyes as he lets her and the rest know, how he was never aware of the fa'cie true intent, and that all he ever wanted was to save the people of my home, and do it at all costs just like you" after that he picks up his communicater and delivers a call out too all PSICOM and Guardian Corps to cancel out any type of Fal'cie or L'cie operations and for all in the city to make evacuation immediately, soon thereafter he lays there giving the party an escape by blinding the 2 approaching behemoths which he just sits there excepting death for all those horrific things that he was tricked into doing he didnt care anymore, I must end of by saying i myself took 13 and later admitted to myself how i was one of many that under rated this game. As i accepted the changes, i soon began to see what good the game had to offer, and if there was any antagonist i would cry for at the end , it would be Rosch , why? because he was a man who worked his fuking nuts off to save his home, puting him and his life at danger, all the while he is being tricked into doing all this by the ones who are planning on destroying his home, but then doesnt find out till the end when its nigh to late, and you can even feel for the mans struggle.... all he ever wanted was to save his home. He was forced to be a bad guy, and def best antagonist of FF13
