Further, I have never played any of the Witcher games before.

But I really, REALLY want this game to succeed commercially and critically. Cuz CD Projekt Red has made an ambitious, gorgeous game while offering up A LOT of content, taking time to polish up the product, and being honest with gamers about delays, company policies, and all of their actions. They seem like the type of development team that gamers can put their faith in……….so fingers are crossed that the execution is as close to perfect as we can hope.
