I think it’s a bit more complex than that. Most Japanese consumers have iPhones, and those are foreign products. I think it has more to do with the fact that Microsoft is doing next to nothing to position their console as something Japanese consumers should want, than simply them not wanting it because it is American. Granted, that definitely has a lot to do with it as well.
