This was the biggest announcement in the Microsoft conference in my opinion and glad Microsoft went out of their way to make this feature happen as it is very cool.

In reply to Seph. MS isn't making you pay for the games you already own. You either buy the game, or you don't. No one is putting a gun to your head to buy a remastered game. I didn't get TLOU for PS4, because i already have it on the PS3. I'll definitely get FF7 though.

‘I’ don’t wanna jump the gun. But i’m confused. All those tweets and re-tweets of “We won’t make you pay for games you already own” & backwards compatibility being a “megaton”

What am i missing? What’s the “We won’t make you pay for games you already own” joke? I don’t get it. What’s the difference between this and what Sony does?

In reply to otherZinc. That's good. I'm primarily a PC gamer but I've owned on the PlayStation consoles. I just bought an Xbone as my first MS console and I think there were three or four Xbox 360 games that I wanted to play but couldn't get for PS3 or PC, so hopefully those will be available at some point.

In reply to Ryan. Just like the 360 went from 10 Backwards Compatible games to over 300 in a hurry. This is significant. Also it'll look better on XBOX ONE.

If by “fully backwards compatible” you mean there is currently a list of about 20 games and that is supposed to go up to a bit over 100 by the time the patch is available. Unless there were only 100 Xbox 360 games, that’s hardly “fully” 😛
