This delay is fine and all but there is no denying that this certainly goes against the year of new ips statement that was said by Phil Spencer just a few days earlier lol Playing Gears 4 and Halo Wars 2 during the fall of 2016 isn’t a new experience because these are the same francishes we been playing for years. Microsoft needs new ips and I personally hope more are revealed at E3 this year.

This delay is actually great for this title. Had this game released this year it would have been in the fall where it would of been buried by the big 3rd party games that dominate the fall/holidays every year. Besides titles by Platinum Games aren’t exactly huge sellers so them releasing Scalebound in 2017 is beneficial for both development of the game and the games overall sales.
