I've been waiting for years and years for a return to the roots. Told myself I wouldn't get another COD before Ghosts until they do. So I will be getting WW2. The stars are aligned. But this doesn't mean there isn't one glaring defect in COD WW2. The visuals. The outdated engine COD developers are using is truly stagnant at this point. This game compared to the alternatives is outclassed visually and its glaring. Graphics aren't everything and gameplay is more important, but this is getting into borderline lazy and complacent territory. Doesn't mean I won't be getting it, but they really do need to invest some time and money in getting up to speed and getting with the times.

I agree with pretty much everything said in this preview as it relates to the multiplayer experience. It was very refreshing to see them ditch the futuristic setting in favor of World War II and I know that Sledgehammer will make an awesome single player campaign too.
