Tony and Chris, try to read this objectively.

For the general listener who just likes games and doesn’t hate Nintendo, Chris just comes off negative toward Nintendo MOST of the time. If Sony made the same exact decisions that Nintendo made, he might criticize them too, but the tone of his voice and his choice of words would likely not be so harsh. That’s just the track record Chris has made for himself whenever he is speaking about Nintendo. If a non-gamer, totally neutral person listened to any episode of Chris speaking on Nintendo, they would get these vibes immediately. Does he come off salty because he had a bad experience when he worked for the company?

Nintendo makes a lot of stupid decisions that piss me off too, but the gamer in me looks at this new system and says “Wow, that is pretty sweet, this is the only place to play real console games on the go without streaming, two available controllers at all times, a nice looking pro controller, and good potential for 3rd party support… that’s awesome.

– Would it be so hard for Chris to say something positive without immediately following it up with something negative? A true gamer would want all consoles to succeed, create competition, and drive the industry forward, but I think (based on the way he speaks) Chris would rather have Nintendo just leave the console market and make more room for Sony/Microsoft. Anyway, all of this is to your advantage because it fuels the fanboy fire, keeps people listening, and people like me commenting.

I don’t care if you don’t agree with me, I care that you don’t have a good reason to counter my arguments. My only opinion of you is that you are an ignorant moron. Keep on dreaming. And I love your projection. I don’t live in a gaming bubble, I talk about games on all platforms (PC, Xbox, PS, mobile). So I don’t need to waste my emotional energy on Nintendo. I get asked to appear on these podcasts because of my expertise on Nintendo and my predictions. Go read my articles and editorials here. I’ve already described the Switch well over a year ago and got anger from fanboys like yourself for being right.

I’m going to end our “back-and forth” with a thought. Your happiness or opinion doesn’t concern me. I have a responsibility to call things out as I see them based on available data. So if you think my arguments are not valid, why not counter them instead of insulting them? The only weapon of the ignorant is insults. Yep I missed it but I review it again. That was part of the rumors about a SMB game but I only picked up the MK on my first watch before the podcast. I stand corrected.

I give credit where credit is due. I don’t need to give Nintendo anything they don’t deserve when they won’t respect their customer base with even minimal information. If I “sound salty”, that is simply your oversimplistic opinion. I don’t deal in hopes and dreams, and looking cool doesn’t equal good for anyone with common sense.
