It should be autoscaled. There are PC games that can do this but PC gamers like to tweak video settings themselves so it’s not that prevalent.

What do you mean ‘the year sony wins it’. My scorecard system didn’t have a winner or loser. It just had scores which gave value to the conferences. The higher the score, the more they showed. That’s all it meant. I decided not do do the scoring system again LAST YEAR! You are acting like I knew Sony would get a higher score and decided not to do that. Do you really think I’m that petty? So no, people shouldn’t think that. Especially since they complained about it last year. so if someone purchase a scorpio then it auto upscales games to 4k? or do you have to manually set everygame to its native resolution? for instance if i buy the scorpio then purchase a used copy of ghost which was 720p. would scorpio upscale it to 4k on a 4k tv or will it play it at native 720p with bars on top and bottom?

because anyone who says that about microsoft is being dishonest. these were the same games they showed last year,but with a release date. notice sony didnt show ff7-remake no mans sky and shenmue. they did that already they are giving us something new. sales numbers tell us who lied, all i heard was quantum break was a must have game. then remedy says it sold less than 200k physical copies,now they are going multiplat. dead rising4 timed exclusive….tomb raider sold poorly.. all these games being bragged about sold low, now im hearing it again.. “cant wait for recore””cant wait for cuphead” these games better sell 1million first month

they are doing it right. yeah those games wont come out until late next year but look at amazon,, like the top preordered game is the last guardian,, also lets not forget we have games coming out this fall not shown. 1- king of fighters 2-no mans sky 3-persona5 4-gt sport ontop of the ones you mentioned so 6 games coming out in the next 6months thats about the right combination you want,, 1 exclusive per month from june-dec mixed with multiplats that will sell more on the ps4,except maybe bf1

Yeah they showed all those games, but remember we only get to play The Last Guardian this year, most of the games announced say in development; who knows when we will be playing them. And I think Sony had the better presentation, it was game after game after game, but greatness awaits lol!

My honest opinion on E3 2016 is Sony had the best Show, but as a Ms fan they have me hyped for the games coming within the next year and looking forward to the new hardware on the horizon as a CONSOLE gamer. But when you come to here you hear stuff like it makes no sense to buy an Xbox, which is the stupidest thing I hear from the panel of this show and now from their fans.

Horizon: Zero Dawn and Spiderman did it for me. Sony won on those 2 games alone. I can’t wait to play those games. As for VR, i’m not interested.

I really like Recore, but Scalebound looks dull and boring to me. Halo Wars 2 looks really good, i will try in get into the beta this week.

Why is this so hard to comprehend? I also don’t like the fact that Phil Spencer is telling people that Scorpio won’t do anything for them if they aren’t using a 4K tv. That’s just dumb. If you have the horsepower to run 4K games at high fidelity, you can run your old 720/900p games at 1080p. I know he doesn’t want to tell people to upgrade for that reason, but it’s a good reason to jump into the next gen!

But hey, it’s just video games and I think some people in here take this shit too serious. My goal in this business has always been to educate people and show them things they may have never seen before. That’s why I talk Retro and PC gaming a lot. A bunch of folks ignore everything I say about PC gaming and put me in that #pcmasterrace group. But I was showing you games like Hard Reset back in 2012 and you didn’t care until it was released on console this month. I try to tell you guys stuff to inform you and educate you. If I see someone is stating that the sky is red when it’s not, I’m going to reply to them and say, “no it’s blue, go look!”.

There are certain things I’ve noticed about the console communities over the years and nothing has changed about them. They feel the need to tell others they are wrong for what they love. That’s just wrong. And then there’s this winner/loser attitude that is carried on year after year after every E3. E3 isn’t a tournament, championship or playoff. It’s an expose’ on what new games are coming out. But alas! It’s ok to get excited about your favorite companies! I just personally don’t choose to put a ‘win’ or ‘lose’ title on a company showing off new products. However, it’s just as fine to say that EA won E3 because you are a sports fanatic! Just don’t tell the next person they are wrong for feeling that Ubisoft won E3 cuz Ghost Recon is their favorite game.

This brings me to another point. The spread of misinformation. There’s really GOOD trolling and there’s straight out lying in an attempt to troll just to piss people off. This kind of attitude is childish. Grow the fuck up please! It’s been 3 days since E3 and there hasn’t been a single conversation about games people love without it turning into a bitchfest or a bully session where you attempt to belittle someone because of certain games they like. I’ve been doing podcasts for over 8yrs now and I get thousands of downloads a month and sometimes when I read comments from the likes of @disqus_QtXGotjDAL:disqus , my most devoted listener and fan, and I wonder if he’s heard anything I’ve ever said? I have truly attempted to educate people the best I can. I’ve also tried to be as unbiased as possible. Last year I created a scoring system for the E3 press conferences. This was before they started. I had a set of rules which would govern the scoring of the pressers. I did this so I could put value on the press conferences without me personally picking a ‘winner’ or a ‘favorite’. Every year I’ve always said, “The gamers won E3”. EVERY YEAR! Last year people hated my scoring system and complained about it. Not because it was unfair, but because their favorite publisher didn’t come out a winner. In the face of this immaturity, I decided not to do it again this year. And now there is people who are saying I didn’t do the score this year because my favorite company wouldn’t have won. You people crack me up! I consider myself to be one of the most unbias gamers I know. I buy everything so I can play everything. The last time I had an adult conversation about what happened at E3 was when I was at E3 with my colleagues. I try my best to engage with the community if even to let them know that I hear them or acknowledge them. However, most of the time what I say seems to fall on deaf ears. Lately I’ve blocked more people and even started muting people so they don’t feel bad that I blocked them. I’ve even stayed off of my favorite websites comment section for some time. It’s becoming difficult to be who I want to be and engage in the community that I’m a part of because a lot of folks just can’t get past their love for plastic and silicone. It’s really crazy! I sincerely hope some of you change in the near future and stop making it about Sony VS Microsoft and make it about gaming and where it’s at now. During E3, be excited about E3 and if a publisher gives you a good conference, talk about it! If they do something you don’t like, talk about it! But don’t sit here and bash developers, games and consoles for the sole purpose of fanboyism! We all like to have fun and joke and troll, but the more I see it here and even on twitter, people just can’t handle shit! People lie, cheat and steal just to be heard or prove a point that doesn’t make sense. Thekoalition is the last bastion of video game websites for me. I left Neogoof, N4g, Polygoon and even the Verge and still visit this site regularly. This is it for me and it seems like this comment section is becoming like everyone elses. Phil is the best thing to happen to Xbox since Halo and XBL….

The thing too is, Sony has two more shows per year than MS (TGS and PSX). I’m not saying that’s necessarily a good thing, but you aren’t going to see everything at every show. This is the first of the year and still got 3 more to go. MS has two, E3 and Gamescom so they split things up last year as well and had two good shows.

As far as not getting updates on some games, there’s still plenty of shows left.
