I personally don’t think it will be “downgraded.” I think MS is just clarifying their messaging on it, mostly so people don’t keep predicting it will be $800.

The fact is nowhere in the article was it mentioned that MS is scaleing back on the Scorpio they said above all it is a console not a PC so this panel is trying to twist that into saying they are backtracking, but they always said it will be a console.

It is a podcast, but that segment was based on an interview and Phil said he is focused on building a balanced boxed and persons shouldn’t be caught up in the 6 tflop number only but look at the whole makeup of the console. Where does that state it will be down graded like they are speaking on in said podcast?

No one is jumping to conclusions. We’re making educated guesses based on what is being said. Also note that Chris has never been wrong when he predicts what companies will do so dismissing him isn’t wise. Look at his track record with Nintendo. He hasn’t been wrong yet.

Ehhh, this is a podcast with their opinions and thoughts. Even assuming it is bias, it doesn’t need called out, but you of course are free to state your opinions as well. This isn’t reporting or news. Half those guys aren’t even games journalists, just gaming friends doing a podcast together for our entertainment.

I can’t listen to Chris because he has no idea what MS is doing only MS and AMD know at this moment, so to comment on it is just wrong, why don’t we wait until next year and see what MS says and then see if they scaled-down the console, instead of jumping to conclusions.
