I think you nailed it. I guess I do not like Destiny on a fundamental level. You can add all you want on it but if the base isn’t my thing then it won’t matter. I still maintain that it is a mechanically great game. The shooting is imo second to none. But without a core story to give my actions meaning, I lose interest. Maybe Destiny 2 will deliver a story that could pull me back in but right now I feel burned by the first one. Hope that makes sense lol

Yep, the gameplay was identical. The big difference was if your complaint was there’s not enough content, especially after the story, then this addressed that with a lot more to do, which was a far cry from the base release which didn’t have much content at all to be honest. But yeah, if you don’t like the game at a fundamental level, the expansion isn’t going to change that, and Destiny 2 probably won’t either.

Okay fair enough. But just FYI I did play the 3rd expansion. Despite what everyone told me, it was the exact same shit. Only difference was the leveling was more traditional (you didn’t need light).

Bro, most of the dudes on the show have played Destiny lol What are you talking about? Brett and I in particular played the shit out of it during the first month. Adam played it too. But when we saw that it was an endless grindfest we dropped it. You can’t say we didn’t play the game lol I know I put over a 100 hours into it EASILY.

Supposedly you keep your guardian but not your stuff. I completely get being burnt by the original and by their business practices, I have a few friends who feel the same. Destiny’s good moments were REALLY good though, which if they can actually give me a complete game this time and learned from their mistakes, I’ll give them a second shot.

I played Destiny for some time. PVP was awesome, RAIDS were too few but awesome, armor and weapon systems sucked and paying $20 a shot to complete the game they didn’t finish in 2014 was bullshit. That’s why I’m done with Destiny. Oh and I bet you can’t import your Destiny 1 character either. Oo
