I speculate that Facebook’s pairing with Oculus means it will have a price advantage over the others, considering all the ads that will melt your eyeballs off (because that’s how Facebook do).

I’m not sure what to think at this point. Microsoft need to demo it with a game other than minecraft and more use cases for it or it will lose my interest very quick.

Also not one mentioned the fact that Microsoft demoed the hololens in a controlled environment. How will the experience feel in your living room or bedroom?

Can you really see any deep gaming with Hololens? I see it being worse for gaming than the Kinect was.

Exactly! I’m pumped for the ability to stream Xbox games to PC and tablets, but I need to see more before I believe in it.

PS4 remote play feature finally works, but remember how Sony promised this same functionality back during the PS3 era? It took Sony more than 8 years to finally make the tech work.

I’m not sure what you mean by your last statement. Was it strictly towards hololens? If its about the OS, Windows 10 will be released later this year with DX12 and the XBox features, no matter how you slice it.

As for the Hololens, i will stay skeptical about it until after the Build developers conference in April. They need to demo a game other than minecraft and more use cases for it. Microsoft stated that the hololens is expected released this year. So the argument whether it may not come to fruition is moot at this point. The real question is will it be another failure like the Kinect or Google Glass?

Brian’s right dude. There was nothing to speak about because there was nothing shown. Just promises that may not even come to fruition.

The only thing you can imply was the increased performance with DX12 but nothing concrete.

Until we have games in hand and can see the advantages of Directx 12 or “the infinite power of the cloud”, people will always be skeptical.

“The Sonydown” has zero credibility, to all that saw that conference.
