Forza Motorsport 5 was the #1 selling next-gen Exclusive until TitanFall released in March 2014. Selling 1.1 million units in the US Market alone. Drive Club is at 300k in the US “and” out of business! Due to making 3 garbage non selling overrated driving games.

As I said; Forza Motorsport 6 is going strong, we’ll see the #1 racer in 1080p 60fps this fall. As for Drive Club 2…You’ll never see it!

Software is the only thing that ever saves a console. It’s not hardware.

Profit margins are usually based on projections. You project to make so much by selling so much. You end up selling less than you planned, so your profit margins are lower than expected making it a loss of money. They are down compared to last year, but not down. Microsoft has traditionally sold most of their consoles during the holidays. This is also the case for last gen. The only other time of the year they sell a ton of consoles is after a new Halo release.

As long as Sony, MS and Nintendo keep making games, I’m fine. I want my investments in their console business to go the distance.

My first post wasn’t about the show, it was about the title and why people are looking at MS losses in comparison to Sony. As long as Sony continues to sell more consoles than MS, MS sales will always look, “horrible”. It’s terrible that people think like that but it is what it is. I’m waiting for the games from both MS and Sony. Remasters don’t count at all. Give me new shit or sequels. I’m having more fun on the PC right now. This may very well be my last console generation. At least the money I dump into a PC allows me to play old PC games. Tired of not being able to play old shit on my consoles without spending $60 a pop for remasters. So I have to keep all that plastic to go through my back log.

In my opinion, every veteran gamer knows not to buy every generation of Nintendo due to its very tiny leaps forward. They also have not made it rain with games plus little to no third party support are the main reasons for its lack luster sales. Parents are not overly concerned with Internet connection for their kids to play.

Still, Forza Motorsport 5 looks fantastic, has real world tracks, cars (200+), and never dropping a Single Frame! Drive Clubs slow 30fps ass has 50 cars, Invisible walls, stupid AI, Damage means nothing, no real world tracks, Linear, no modes, no customizations, and now; No team to make Drive Club 2 (as they’re now fired, with a little staff on board to save face). Sony knew Drive Club sucked.

Meanwhile, Forza Motorsport 6 is going strong & will weigh in at 1080p 60fps, no matter what Torrence says about Windows 10 & DirectX 12.

Also, on Forza Motorsport 5; who can see people in the stands going 200mph, 4 wide, down the Indianapolis Motor Speedway? No one, that’s who, now put your hater-aid down & play Forza Motorsport 5 for yourself.

Oh I’m not arguing microsofts wallet but, Sony use to be a major player and they bit off more they can chew and also was not ready for a market change. Microsoft is in the same boat as well but they have a major life preserver from marketing.
Microsoft is not going anywhere they are just fell out of touch with majority consumer. This can easily turn around and especially in the console area. Just release games. The hard part is gaming is pricing it self out of general consumers comfort zone and it is hard to release a lot of games at $60 + a pop.
