Tony, I’ve kept it to three questions this time round!

1) Do you ever get deterred from playing a game, however great it may be because you’ve not played the earlier games in the series? I really want to play the Witcher 3 but feel I may be disconnected from the character as I won’t know what has happened to him and his journey from the previous games. Has there ever been a series you passed on because you’ve not played the previous games in the series?

2) I can’t be the only one, so here goes. Do you get in the habit of buying games when there’s a price drop/promotion etc and then it just doesn’t get played for whatever the reason may be? Worst of all….even against your better judgement and you have this ever increasing backlog; you still continue to buy more games that go unplayed? (Disclaimer: I don’t have a shopping addiction!) As a follow on question, how large is your backlog of games (and on what systems) and do you think you’ll ever visit them now that you’re playing the current gen systems?

3) Would you agree that the FPS’s are the dominant genre of gaming (I’m basing this on sales of games like Destiny and the COD franchise), and if so, do you feel that this will be a continuing trend this generation? In your opinion, what makes first person shooters so appealing to gamers? Is it its online competiveness that makes this genre so appealing or perhaps it’s our natural instinct in hunting things down and killing things (lol)?

Another interesting episodic game just around the corner is Dreamfall Chapters. Don’t sleep on that.

If I had written a review for it I would have detailed exactly why it was a horrible game. Glad you liked it but I thought it was a complete misfire.

2. Ubisoft announced the next Assassin’s Creed game will be 900p and 30fps on both PS4 and XB1 because they wanted parity. We all know which system couldn’t handle the game at 1080p and 60fps. My question is do you guys think devs should hold games back on one system for the sake of parity with the weaker system?
