Question#1
With games doing free DLC and games selling individual costumes for $7 how is it that publishers decide how much to sell DLC for? Can you still call it DLC when it has a stand-alone price tag like $40?

Question#2
Do you think the number of recent games that are huge, lengthy open-world epics could start to hurt sales in the industry? After all, I remember when the average AAA game took around 6-10 hours to complete yet now that is starting to become the exception as more and more series are becoming massive (sometimes bloated) games that take 40-100 hours to complete. This means that a single purchase can keep me playing for way longer and thus I don't really need to purchase as many games.

While this is (sort of) good for the consumer (assuming these large games maintain their quality levels all the way through) it seems like the industry could be shooting itself in the foot a bit since you don't need to buy as many games in order to keep yourself entertained.

Question#3
Is there a game you're embarrassed to admit you kinda love?

Why not get both, PS Vita is cheaper nowadays and although titles for it may be on the back burner the titles are much more vast & stable online and off compared to PSNow. Switch is the new hotness but for me I'll wait til Fall'2017 to make my final decision.

Hey guys, since you briefly brought up the Vita when answering my question last week, I've got a question for you.

Adam was right, I have never owned a handheld. I was seriously looking into buying a Vita until I saw some old patent that Sony was holding for a handheld. I thought a new iteration of the Vita might be close and I didn't want to risk double-buying. So if we make it past E3 with no Sony handheld announcements, a Vita purchase may be back on the table. But I'm kind of torn because Switch seems to be getting the indie support that has kept Vita alive for so many years. If I can shop on the Japanese eShop, then all those wonderful Japanese titles and indie developer games are available too.

So my question is, Should I jump onto a Vita or wait for the Switch library to beef up and the inevitable price drop that's coming for it?

Just to follow up on the Nintendo stuff, I agree with Brett that the joycon in the dock is passable, but it's too tiny and feels awkward because of that.

Also, my overall point is moreso that Nintendo is excluding a lot of it's fanbase that wants to use it as a console, but a lot of the games are directed towards gamers in that same fanbase, like Zelda, and Mario, and Xenoblade, so it's kind of a counterproductive business practice. I want the games, but I don't want the console which just fosters my love/hate relationship with Nintendo.

Good question.

In games with relatively simple customizable upgrade trees skill/abilities, what do people usually try to upgrade first, combat, stealth, utility (crafting items/using lots of items/tools), magic, or a mix of things? Have you ever upgraded a skill tree just to use a weapon, only to learn that the weapons sucks ass? What game comes to mind?

Will couch coop return to our console spaces now that we have so much "power" in these plastic boxes? Is my presumption correct that only old folks like myself even seem to want it?

Will the Switch be the last traditional gaming handheld with buttons and analog sticks? While I'd love a sucessor to the Vita thats backwards compatible, I just can't see it right now.
