Question#1
DO gamers or Devs set the hype of AAA games?

Are AAA games set by the hype of us as gamers? Like when certain games are being shown people just assign these levels to them based on initial interest. Or is it based on how much effort and exposure devs give to games.

Question#2
Why does MS often make bad investments for studios/games?

I mean Sony has had its fair share of blunders too, especially last gen but they seem to be on point this gen. MS on the other hand has been consistently taken L's with rare exceptions like Turn 10, 343, and Gears. That's all the Xbox brand is known for is Halo, Forza, and Gears. What the hell does Sony know that MS doesn't?
