Since Sony recently stated they would like to continue working with From Software, what do you hope to see from then in the future?

1. Destiny uses it, a fair amount in the TTK in some cool ways. Warframe uses it. I want to say tearaway uses it too but I haven’t played that yet.

I agree the sixaxis was gimmicky because it was basically motion controls but I actually like the touchpad. The only game I’ve played that used the touchpad was Killzone: Shadowfall, the game was average but I thought the touchpad swiping to control the owl drone was great.

1. As much as i love Sony’s controllers, that touchpad is too gimmicky. I’d compare it the the Sixaxis on the PS3. It wasn’t needed IMO.

1. If you are buying a new console and you want unbiased advice from someone who claims to be a GAMER, who is better equipped to give it? A person who historically has had all the consoles or a person who historically has just one and plays the other occasionally at a friends house or at a kiosk?

2. If I decide to limit my gaming to only playing games that sale well(i.e. exclusive AAA titles), am I missing out on anything?

3. Are Indie games a good thing for the gaming Industry or a bad thing? Some feel that Sony’s heavily supporting these games is secretly #ucking up the Industry, although forgetting that other consoles support it too or have been “forced” to.

I think both will do very well this holiday especially in the US since both look like they have some great bundles that appeal to the masses but overall Sony will still remain ahead do to it having a bigger presence globally. However according to some Industry Veterans US sales figures will always be > Global sales figures. In the end the best gamers can hope for is that all 3(yes even Nintendo) find success this holiday.

Yeah, I remember Titanfall was supposed to set the world on fire and put the Xbox One on top sales wise but it didn’t even come close and three months later no ever mentioned Titanfall again.

It becomes obvious after you hear a enough people talk about games as if they were talking about sports statistics. Or indeed taking it to the next level and comparing platforms based on averaged reviews or the number of games that scored above a certain score. As if it were possible to describe a gaming experience based on a number.

I once brought that subject up with Nelva on Twitter. The conversation didn’t go very well….

You understand the situation fully. The real problem here is review scores.

I’m all for doing away with the scoring convention anyway. I think that it promotes laziness, people just scroll to the score without reading the reason the reviewer arrived at that conclusion. They go to sites like Metacritic to get fed a raw number and decide “this game is good, this game is bad” without ever knowing anything about the game.

But what killed XB1’s public morale (I think the term you’re really looking for is “public confidence”) more was things like this:

Yeah, as you saw on the show, we were split down the middle on this one.. I can see the other side too but to me, 10/10 means perfect. I have never played a 10/10 game in my life, even my beloved MGS3 lol
