the japanese wing of sony has all those rts,moba,mmorpg games you speak of, why do people continue to ignore those games? anytime sales are close. japan will always put sony over the top due to them having 5million more ps4s over there. someone wanted to put the last guardian against gears of war 4 in october and said which wil lsell more,, everyone said it will be close,but they never mentioned japan would put the last guardian over the top when you add everything. ask remedy how they feel about variety and why their game cant sell o nthe xb1, ask them why are they puttign their next game on the ps4 if the better games are over there

not as much of a cost the person paid to buy those xbox360 games to play on the xbox-one, its funny how the narrative was back-compat was for people who already owned the game, yet gamestop is recording record number sales for cod black ops2 and rdr. That tells me people are re-buying the game,so they dont own it. For psnow its for people who owned a ps3,sold it and all the games but can go back and play 250+games for $99. Its also for people who dont own a console. you can play those games on a tv..Its also for people who bought a ps4,never owned a ps3 but want to go back and play those great exclusives for $99 for the year. the person who has 100-200 of the 360 back compat games in their possession paid $10-$60 for each one, now tell me who overpaid?

You’re confusing the number of games available with variety. It’s my opinion, so there’s nothing to argue. How many RTS games do they have on PS4? Open world racing? Sim racing? Co-op games? It is my opinion. I believe there is more variety on Xbox One than PS4. Just in case that wasn’t clear. That’s why I started the sentence with “I think…”

I understand now. It just didn’t occur to me that if someone was interested in buying a new console, they would pay money for multiple older games. If that’s the case, PS Now is a viable option too.

You don’t have to own the games, but you can still buy them and play them. That’s my point. The reason why types of games doesn’t matter is that there is something out there for everyone in every genre for both consoles.

IMO, BC is only relevant in a recommendation convo if said person has the games but not the console, and i don’t know ANYONE irl that has RDR for PS3 or 360, but no PS3 or 360. Usually the person is looking for new games to play on the new console they’re asking about. It’s a nice bonus though 🙂

I’ve used both systems extensively since day one. Year one I would say PS4 and year two I would say Xbox One. What I’ve seen since year two is Xbox One adding backward compatibility, which is huge because it basically grows the Xbox One library by about 8 titles per month. They’ve also added a bunch of other great features. In this day and age the question of, “what games do you like the most” doesn’t make sense. If someone likes Uncharted, they’ll get a PS4. If someone likes Halo, they’ll get an Xbox One. But if they are really asking since they don’t know, I think Xbox One offers more variety, a better controller and a cheaper console. You can’t shit on those crazy bundles they have. They are just great deals! My rational would be that you get more value buying an Xbox One.
