The PS4 and PS5 will use x86 architecture which means that you should be able to run PS4 games on PS5 with no issues. If Sony makes the only way to play PS4 games on PS5 through PS Now that would piss a lot of people off.

I still disagree and l think Sony are going to be assholes and use PS Now for all backwards compatibility. They have a horrible track record on backwards compatibility since the PS3. They rather you rebuy games than keep using what you have and Sony hasn’t been forward thinking from a consumer standpoint with access to their older games. Remastered PS4 games on PS5 will be a thing. I’ll be surprised if I’m wrong but time will tell.

Nah there’s going to be backwards compatibility with future PlayStations. I guarantee PS5 will be able to play PS4 games. They share similar architecture. With that said, PS Now is most definitely the solution for backwards compatible PS3 games. Because of the Cell Processor, it is very hard to get PS3 games to run natively on a PS4. PS Now is the solution to that.

I do predict this will be Sony’s alternative to backwards compatibility from here on out. And I can say 100% we are NEVER getting backwards compatibility from Sony ever. Never again on the console side. That shit is dead.

I also agree PS Now isn’t doing well and the pricing needs to be adjusted significantly or it will remain DOA. And I predict Sony will announce they are rolling PS Now into PS+ and adjusting the price of this new subscription to $99 per year. Regular PS+ price will remain unchanged.
