Titanfall was still a good game, though. I’m not sure why that’s considered to be an example of failure of hype. Sure, it may not have lived up to it, but it resulted in a quality title. Sunset Overdrive is an interesting game made by Insomniac (Who have a very very good track record) that is said to take inspirations from such titles as Spyro and Ratchet and Clank.

Whilst, obviously, we can not say for sure that it will be an amazing final product, this trailer showed off some very interesting and exciting gameplay with a vibrant visual design and a gripping concept. Even if the game ends up being pants, it doesn’t stop this trailer from being an amazing showcase of what (hopefully) we will be getting when the game releases.

So essentially your saying a game deserves props just because it’s a new IP?

So what if it’s a new IP? it sucks dude.

Both Titanfall and Sunset Overdrive are new IPs as opposed to what’s expected from another Halo or Gears of War video game. For that reason and the simple fact that this shows they are trying to create something different, I think props are needed and deserved.
