There is a huge difference between indie games and cell phone games. Indie games are the ones that are doing the most innovative things in the industry right now. Look how big they are on Steam and how they continue to push the PS4 ahead of its competitors. The most talked about games are indie games and if you don’t see that you aren’t seeing what is really happening in the industry.

Konami seems to be bowing out, by hyping Cellphone Games. You guys said when a company is down they go to Cellphone Games. That’s right, an easy cost effective, cheap way to earn a dollar without massive Risk.

Enter Sony. Sonys PlayStation Division had layoffs in every corner of the games division, sold buildings, cut staff, Research and development, then Sony emerged with an Indie Game Strategy. How different is that from Konamis Cellphone Game Strategy? Low Risk, with a chance at high Reward.

Example: a Sony spokesperson said in a recent article, “we’re going to put our full support around the Indie Game No Man’s Sky”. WTF? Where’s the “full support around Uncharted 4, God of War 4, GT 7, you know, games the core gamer wants to see now; not 3 holiday seasons after the launch of the PS4!

An article was written of the PS4 game exclusives to release fall 2015, there were 16 games, 15 were Indie Games, 1 AAA, I think that AAA game was Ratchet & Clank, that I think just got delayed to 2016…not sure.

This isn’t a trend I’m looking forward to at all. Furthermore, I see very littleto no difference in Cellphone Games & Indie Games. They’re both Appetizers before the main course Dinner.

Halo 5 will sell 3+million units in the last 5 days of October: October 27th to the 31st.

Also, we’re all investors in theory Torrence. I’ve also invested $500 for two XBOX ONE consoles & several games for my kids & I. Skylanders, COD, Destiny, Forza Motorsport 5, NBA2k, Dying Light, Halo MCC, Forza Horizon 2, Mortal Kombat, Assassin’s Creed, Pre-ordered two Halo 5 $250 editions, game DLC, etc…those are Theory Investments all consumers make.

If these consumer investments aren’t made, we get no software support.

M$ is spending money from last gen & this gen. Sony was broke last gen & cut costs at every corner to survive this gen. Currently, Sony needs great sales or they will only take risks in the Indie Games Market.

If Sony fans want to see AAA Games they have to buy Bloodborne, The Order 1886 & Drive Club in great numbers, and consumers arent.

However, this is great entertainment.

Many are surprised about Xbox One outselling PS4 because they are used to PS4 “winning” npd. Same thing happened last gen when PS3 would win a month. It really doesn’t mean shit though. More importantly, if Xbox One sold 187k and won April, what was the decrease in PS4 sales? Guess what? Sony won’t tell us so we will never know. These companies don’t say shit when they aren’t first but when they are first, they want to give you a bible on why and how they sold so well. -The PS4 is more powerful
-The PS4 has more and “better” exclusives
-Games run at either a higher res or higher frame rate on PS4
-The PS+ “free”games are “better”
