Earlier this week, Crytek released a brand new trailer showing off the unique combat system from their upcoming Ryse: Son of Rome video game.
The video above further explains the game’s combat dynamics and gives a glimpse into various executions that players will have at their disposal. Prior to this trailer being released, many critics spoke negatively about the quicktime sequences from the game’s demo at Microsoft’s E3 Conference. While the trailer above clearly states that most of the footage doesn’t represent how the final build of the game will look, it does at the very least give examples of how the combat will come together.
Ryse: Son of Rome is being touted as a major launch title for the Xbox One. Microsoft has even gone so far as to say that Ryse will be on par with Gears of War in terms of it’s importance to the console. While the verdict is still out on this theory, it will no doubt be interesting to see how this all turns out in the end.
Ryse: Son of Rome launches exclusively on the Xbox One on November 22nd. Did this trailer change any of the thoughts you may have had previously towards the game’s combat dynamics? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
