Capcom today announced that a remastered version of the original Resident Evil will be coming to PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 in 2015, the game will be in 1080p on PC and new consoles.
As well as confirming that the game would be 1080p and playable in the classic 4:3; Capcom also detailed the control scheme for the new version:
“The classic control scheme remains for fans of the original play style or there’s an alternative scheme where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, utilizing the standards of the current generation of gaming,”
“Both the control scheme and the display options can be toggled between at any time during gameplay.”
I’m not sure anyone particularly wanted this remastered version , however it will still be nice to go back and play a classic. As long as they don’t change too much from the original I am sure everyone will be happy, it might even introduce a few more people to the series.
