2K has announced that the next cover star of the wrestling game WWE 2K16 will be none other than the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin. In a tweet earlier today, they announced what the cover would look like, along with a small video of Stone Cold uncovering his old championship belt (above).

In an interview with Austin over on WWE’s website, he goes a bit more in depth at how he feels about being chosen for the cover.
“It caught me completely off guard,” Austin said to WWE.com. “I figured I’d been gone for such a long time; it’s been a while. To get that phone call and be on the cover of what is going to be the biggest, baddest video game that there’s ever been, with the roster and all the technology, and to be out of the ring for so many years meant a whole lot to me.”
“It’ll be interesting to see who going to be in the game,” Austin said. “I’m looking forward to see who they dig out in WWE history and bring up. For all the different matchups, with 120 playable characters, that’s almost insane. From what I know about the game, this one is going to be the coolest one ever.”
As Austin says, WWE 2K16 will feature the largest roster in the games history; a whopping 120 playable characters will be in the game, which should give wrestling fans an endless amount of scenarios to play out.
WWE 2K16 will release on October 27, 2015 in North America and October 30, 2015 Internationally for the Xbox One, Xbox 360,PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.
