Final Fantasy XV Will Now Release November 29th 2016

It’s confirmed, Final Fantasy XV has indeed been delayed. In a press-release this morning, Square Enix stated that the game would be pushed back so that they could allow the development team to further polish the game. The game director Hijame Tabata has also released a video addressing the delay which can be watched above with subtitle options.

Here’s a quote from Tabata. “From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this,”

One benefit to the delay is that now we can get all the other blockbuster titles out of our system this Fall before we finally delve into Final Fantasy XV. I guess I know how I’m spending my December.

Let us know your thoughts on this delay in the comments below.
