This is a controversial one for “The Best Games Of 2011” because it could very easily become one of the worst games of the year instead. WWE All Stars is THQ’s attempt to give us a Wrestling game which feels less like wrestling and more like a game. Gamers have been asking for an Arcade wrestler for almost 10 years now and WWE All  Stars seems to deliver! Featuring beefed up character models and over the top moves, All-Stars is definitely taking a page from Def Jam Vendetta’s handbook which incidentally is the last wrestling game which I enjoyed. Developed by THQ San Diego, a studio comprised with several folks who worked on TNA Impact, All Stars’ roster will consist of both current and legendary wrestlers. Combos will play a huge role in the game’s fighting mechanics and THQ are working hard to insure that it appeals to every gamer, not just wrestling fans. The gameplay videos have sold me on this game, but the responsible part of my brain is telling me not to waste my time. So as of now I’m hoping for the best but at the same time, I’m prepared for the worst.
