Forspoken Pushed Back To January 24th, 2023

Earlier today, Square Enix and Luminous Productions announced that their upcoming Forspoken video game has been pushed back to January 24th, 2023. The news came courtesy of a tweet from the official Twitter account and the image is embedded below:

Forspoken is an action role-playing single-player game that was originally scheduled to launch in May of this year before being moved to October and now January of next year. The decision to “strategically delay” is interesting as Square Enix is already poised to have a huge 2023 thanks to the release of Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy Rebirth respectfully. It’s very likely that these games could get delayed as well, but we will have to wait and see if that happens.

As for other January 2023 game releases, Dead Space Remake is currently scheduled to launch three days later on January 27th. For this reason, Forspoken probably won’t have much competition for sales and have an opportunity to catch everyone’s attention first thing into the new year.

Forspoken is coming to both PlayStation 5, and PC. Are any of you looking forward to picking up the game early next year? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
