After almost 15 years of development, Duke Nukem Forever has finally gone Gold! For those unfamiliar with the term, Gold means that the development team has finished with the retail product and final discs are ready to be pressed and shipped.
Originally developed by 3D Realms, The forth game in the main Duke Nukem series remained in development hell for 13 long years before the project was eventually canned. However, the Duke Nukem Forever flame continued to burn as Gearbox Software took on the brave task of completing the game and shipping it before everyone who cares about Duke Nukem is dead and buried.
The game is currently scheduled for a June 10 release (June 14th in America), hopefully it will be worth the wait.
