Thief Announced For Next Gen Platforms

Thief, the fourth game in the Thief series has been announced as the April Cover for Game Informer and will be developed by Eidos Montreal for the next generation platforms.

So far the game has been announced as coming out for PC, PS4 and ‘other next-gen consoles’, so we can assume that means the next Xbox.

“Series hero Garrett returns to the Gothic, industrial metropolis known simply as the City to steal any and everything that will make him richer. Unfortunately, the City is broiling with social tension as it is ravaged by a plague and lorded over by a political tyrant known as the Baron. In order to survive his adventures, Garrett will have to pay attention to his environment and make use of the may possible paths through each of the game’s levels.”

As well as the reveal we were also treated with a couple of screenshots in the video embedded above so take a look at that. Unfortunately for any other information we will have to wait until the next Game Informer comes out, but we shouldn’t have too long to wait considering it will be in the April edition.

Thief will be coming to the PC and next generation consoles in 2014.
