Earlier this week, we got an official announcement that He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction will launch on February 4th, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Developed by Bitmap Bureau, Mattel, and Clear River Games, this retro-inspired 2D brawler costs $29.99, with digital and physical pre-orders available now courtesy of the Limited Run Games and Clear River Gamesย websites linked below.
We also got a list of features, including an epic roster of heroes and villains, 13 action-packed stages, and 2-player local co-op support. A physical collector’s edition will also be available for $99.99 and includes extra bonuses like a steel case, lunchbox packaging, a mini-power sword, a mini-comic book, and a pin set.

Dragon Pearl of Destruction was originally scheduled to launch back in April before getting delayed. If you’ve been keeping up with video game releases, you already know next February will be a stacked month as several companies have shifted their games away from the busy Fall and GTA 6 release window. He-Man kicks things off with Metro 2039, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, and God of War Laufey coming in the weeks after, pending any delays.
When I previewed Dragon Pearl of Destruction at PAX West a few years ago, I was blown away. I look forward to playing the full game next year and think the $30 price will bring more fans on board. Let us know if you plan on picking up the game and other popular 80s cartoons you would like to see made into video games.
