Earlier today, Klei Entertainment released the official launch trailer for their brand new open world survival video game Don’t Starve.
For those who are unaware, Don’t Starve is a PC game developed by the same studio that brought you Mark of the Ninja, Shank, and Shank 2. The game’s premise focuses on the player seeing how long they can survive in the woods while avoiding starvation, bouts of insanity, and a hostile array of enemies. The video above gives a preview of gameplay scenarios and shows off the playful art style behind this sandbox title.
Having had a chance to play the game firsthand during PAX East, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed Don’t Starve. I must admit that I originally thought this title was coming to consoles, but I now fully understand why the studio decided to make this a PC experience. The game can be played on Steam, Chrome, and as a stand alone title. Beyond the $14.99 price tag, Klei’s has also announced their commitment to supporting this game for the next 6 months after launch with plenty of free content and updates. Overall, the game is alot of fun and if you’re a fan of sandbox style games then I’d highly suggest you check it out.
Don’t Starve is available now for download. If you’re interesting in learning more about the game, feel free to check out the official website link below. Lastly, make sure you come back to our site for our full review of the game in the days ahead.
