Yesterday at Sony's Pre-TGS conference we got the first real look at PS4 exclusive Deep Down gameplay. As well as some information on the game's setting.
First of all check out the new gameplay footage of the game from the conference:
The game has so far been advertised as Dark Souls meets Assassin's Creed, and it's easy to see why after the footage. However one surprising factor is that the game does not take place in a medieval setting, but in 2094 New York. The comparisons to Assassin's Creed come from the story in which your character 'dips' into memories to help solve a mystery, hopefully we get more information about the story of the game when TGS truly begins.
The game is online only and has a focus on multiplayer co-op, the dungeons are randomly generated as well as the monsters and loot. This game seems like a huge feat and sounds very complicated, hopefully they can make everything work and keep it fun at the same time. A randomly generated Dark Souls sounds like it could be amazing. Unfortunately we're going to have to wait to find out.
Deep Down is exclusive to the PS4, there has been no announced release date yet.Facebook Twitter Google+
