PlayStation Plus January Video Preview Features Bioshock Infinite and Don’t Starve

Late last week, Sony released an in-depth preview via their blog of 6 blockbuster games that they will be offering for free to North American PlayStation Plus subscribers all January long. As the video highlights above, this lineup features individual titles that can be played on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4 platforms.

First up is the PlayStation 3 console, which will receive BioShock Infinite, DMC: Devil May Cry, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Senior Editor Edward Velazquez wrote reviews for both DMC: Devil May Cry and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons shortly after they hit stores last year. Additionally, Gary Swaby‘s review of BioShock Infinite is currently one of the most popular reviews we had on the site last year.

Next up is the PlayStation Vita with Worms: Battle Island and Smart As... Both of these titles might not be quite as appealing to most players, but in theory they will succeed in keeping many Vita owners happy for the time being.

Finally, the PlayStation 4 will feature a console edition of Don’t Starve. This action-adventure title has been receiving great reviews and will be an awesome treat for PS4 owners when it becomes available for download on January 7th.

With a lineup as diverse as this one, I would have to say that Sony continues to offer PlayStation Plus subscribers the best value for their money. While Microsoft is improving their January Games with Gold offerings, it will be interesting to see if they will go all out to compete with PS Plus as the year goes on.

Will any of you be downloading any of these games this month? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
