Halo World Championship Announced, Winner Takes $1,000,000

Microsoft announced during Gamescom the “Halo World Championship,” a tournament with a prize pool of $1 million, focusing on Halo 5: Guardians’ hyper-competitive Arena multiplayer experience.

While a date has not been announced, Microsoft is branding it the “biggest investment in Xbox eSports history.”
