Earlier today, Hideo Kojima revealed over Twitter that an announcement on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be made approximately at 2pm GMT on Wednesday. The image embedded below is taken directly from the graphic that provides a formal countdown as to when we can expect this news.
Given that both GDC and PAX East are this week, one would have to assume that this announcement can’t be anything short of a confirmed release date for the game. However, Kojima is known for trolling people and therefore anything goes when it comes to news like this. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is expected to launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 sometime later this year.
