Is A New Red Dead Getting Announced Later This Week?

Yesterday morning, Rockstar Games garnered a lot of attention from fans when they released an intriguing tweet featuring a single image of their logo on top of a red background. The color used in this image matches the color scheme seen in Red Dead Redemption, leading many to speculate that the next game in the series is currently in development.

Approximately 24 hours after the above tweet, Rockstar updated that image with seven silhouettes of what appears to be a posse of cowboys. The updated image and tweet is embedded below for all of you to check out:

After seeing this tweet, I would say that it’s fairly easy to conclude that a new Red Dead game announcement will certainly happen sooner rather than later. This clever and calculated approach to revealing a game is nothing short of brilliant and will keep fans excited right up until the final image is complete.

Rumors have been swirling for awhile now that a new Red Dead was supposed to be revealed at the end of Sony’s E3 2016 Press Conference. Prior to today’s image update, I figured that this game was going to be officially announced at either The Video Game Awards or PlayStation Experience later this year. Now, I’ll be very surprised if we don’t learn more about this title or see a teaser trailer before the week is over.
