‘The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword’ Revealed At E3

Nintendo conference has just ended but the Big N kicked things off with a brand new Zelda title. Subtitled Skyward Sword the new title will fully utilize the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, something which Twilight Princess was criticized for not doing adequately.

In the live stage demo Nintendo President Shigeru Miyamo showed off what is apparently the games main gimmick in-which you hold your arm up in the air to make Link charge up his sword. Unfortunately interference plagued the live demo and much of what Miyamoto was trying to show did not come across but the game appears to be heavily motion based with the inclusion of Wii Motion Plus.

New items revealed so far includes a Whip which can be used to both defeat enemies and collect items and a Beetle which Link can summon to fly around  and solve environmental puzzles. At the end of the presentation Miyamoto unfortunately revealed that Skyward Swords will be missing it’s 2010 release date but all of us can expect to have Skyward Sword in our hands some time in 2011.
