God of War: Ascension director Todd Papy has confirmed on the US PS Blog the game will have a multiplayer mode, the first time it has been introduced into the series.
Yes the rumours we heard last year of an online mode in the next God of War were true, and I’m not sure how I feel about it…but I am confident that Sony Santa Monica will do a great job regardless.

We wouldn’t do multiplayer in God of War unless we knew we could do it right.
