Soulcalibur II HD Online Announced

At San Diego Comic Con this weekend Namco Bandai revealed Soulcalibur II HD Online with a trailer that showcases the new updated graphics.

Check out the trailer embedded above for the first look at the new version of the game, HD Online introduces a new online mode to the game which released back in 2003 and will also include all the modes that were in the original release of the game, even the story mode ‘Weapon Master’. It was also revealed that Masaaki Hoshino would serve as producer on the Soulcalibur series for future entries.

The original game on consoles had unique characters for the Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube versions: Tekken’s Heihachi, The Legend of Zelda’s Link and Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. So far we do not know whether all three will make into this new version, although I think it’s safe to say that Link won’t!

Soulcalibur II HD Online is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall.
