A motion capture actor posted on Instagram, and spotted by Nerd Leaks, a photo of a video game character and used the hashtag Watch Dogs 2.

It features what looks to be a character of Asian descent sporting a baseball cap and a bandana covering his mouth.
He’s also wearing a messenger bag, while holding a gun in one hand and a phone in another. Phones were a key part of the first game, as they were used by protagonist Aiden Pearce to hack the world around him.
Although Ubisoft has confirmed Watch Dogs 2 is in development, it has not released any further details about the title. The image looks to be a work-in-progress render of a character, with a plain background, and so has naturally aroused some suspicions about legitimacy.
Ubisoft revealed earlier this year the next Watch Dogs title will release by March 2017.
