UPDATE:
Shortly after posting this, Norman Reedus also took to Twitter to express his grief at the game not being made. It looks pretty much official at this point.
Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone 🍕 http://t.co/drZJ8tBsSN

Original Story:
Well, it was good while it lasted, everyone. But it looks like the brain child of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro won’t be happening after all.
At a recent Q&A opportunity in San Francisco, Guillermo Del Toro brought up Silent Hills just to let us know that “It’s not gonna happen and that breaks my greasy heart”. This comes just a day after Konami announced they would be pulling the playable teaser of the game, P.T, from the PSN store on April 29.

It looks like with the whirlwind rumors of Kojima leaving Konami after Metal Gear Solid V are becoming truer and truer as the days go on. Without Kojima, it seems like Del Toro either doesn’t want to go on with Silent Hills, or cannot due to Konami. Either way, it’s going to be pretty tough for Konami to save face after this news.
